The standard 10mm diameter size is just fractionally larger than the standard diameter of many brands of QD sling swivel studs. The larger 11mm diameter size reveals more of the washer colour around the edge of the QD sling swivel stud and can also be useful if you wish to cover damage or chips to the stock finish around the stud.
