Shipping policy


Products that are in stock and ready to ship will display an 'Add to Cart' button and can be purchased on the website.

If the product you wish to purchase is showing as 'SOLD OUT' then it is likely that I can make it for you on a made-to-order basis - please contact me with your name, shipping address and the title and variant options of the item(s) you wish to purchase and I will respond as soon as possible.

I can always offer the best pricing on my products when ordered directly from me via this website or by email.

If you wish to purchase items with any type of modification or personalisation please DO NOT buy these via the website but instead, contact me directly to discuss your requirements. Orders received via the website that include requests for personalisation or modifications will be cancelled.

Despatch Times for In-Stock Products

Orders consisting only of 'in-stock' products will usually be processed and despatched within 2 to 5 business days (Mon-Fri, excluding weekends and bank holidays). Unless otherwise agreed, any order that also contains made-to-order products will be held until all items are ready to be shipped together.

Despatch Times for Made-to-Order Goods

Orders that consist of, in part or full, products that are made-to-order usually have a lead time of approximately 2 to 8 weeks depending on the product and my workload. I will be able to better advise on current lead times if you contact me.

 

Shipping

All orders will be sent by a Royal Mail service with tracking and may require a signature upon delivery. Orders may be split and shipped in two or more parcels. 

Shipping prices based on geographic location are detailed below. Please contact me for a shipping quote on international orders over £500 in value or if your country/location is not shown at checkout.

If you require an order by a specific date or event please contact me prior to ordering and I will do my best to accommodate your requirements if at all possible. Orders for items that you wish to be personalised are classed as bespoke and are all on a made-to-order basis, therefore, can only be ordered by contacting me and not via the website cart.

Domestic (UK inc. Channel Islands):

FREE UK DELIVERY is available on orders over £25. On orders under £25 goods value, standard delivery is charged at a flat rate of £3 - Royal Mail Tracked 48. Order processing time of up to 5 business days.

Next Day Delivery is available for a flat rate of £10 - Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day. Please note that an order processing time of up to 5 business days still applies even if the next day delivery option is selected at checkout. If you need an order urgently or by a specific date, please contact me prior to placing the order.

Europe / EU & Northern Ireland:

Due to the introduction of the EU's General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) in December 2024, it is unfortunately no longer viable for me as a small business to ship orders to EU countries or Northern Ireland.

USA*:

£16.00 (~$21 USD) FLAT RATE ON ALL ORDERS - Royal Mail International Tracked / Signed service. Order processing time of up to 5 business days.

* Important Information on Import Tariffs: From 29th August 2025, goods sent from the UK to USA, regardless of value, are subject to import tariffs (duties). A 10% duty will therefore be applied at checkout on orders sent to the United States. This duty is passed on to US Customs when the order is shipped via the Royal Mail Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) service, meaning that the shipment is delivered duty paid (DDP) to the customer.

Canada:

£16.00 FLAT RATE ON ALL ORDERS - Royal Mail International Tracked / Signed service. Order processing time of up to 5 business days.

NOTE: Customs fees may apply once a shipment reaches your country. For further information, please see below.

Customs, VAT & Import Duty

Please be aware that ALL shipments outside of the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, VAT, taxes and associated handling fees which could be applied once a shipment reaches the destination country. Rules vary by country and are determined by your local government.

With the United States government ending the de minimis customs exception for most shipments from 29th August 2025, customers in the US should be aware that orders shipped to the US are likely to incur additional charges.

Customs charges, VAT and fees are the sole responsibility of the customer as the importer of the goods. I am unable to refund for orders returned because the customer wishes to avoid paying imposed duties or fees.
 

'PO Box' Addresses & BFPO / APO / FPO / DPO

I am unable to send orders to 'PO Box' addresses, BFPO, APO, FPO or DPO addresses unless agreed by prior arrangement. If you wish to have an order sent to such an address please contact me.

 

Packaging

Fenner Benedict Handmade is conscious of the environmental impact of packaging waste and therefore almost all of the packaging used can be recycled and/or is compostable. Some old stocks of plastic-based packaging materials are being used up and will be replaced with paper-based packaging alternatives going forward. To further reduce waste, reused packaging materials may be used to pack and protect your order.
