I offer leatherwork tuition and courses for all levels, from complete beginner to advanced level makers. Tutorials are delivered on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis, allowing for focused, hands-on learning. The popular Introduction to Leatherwork tutorial is designed as a starting point for those new to the craft, with the option for one or more Introduction to Leatherwork Follow-up Tutorial sessions that will allow the student to continue to develop skills and confidence. I also offer advanced progression courses covering specific topics, such as Hand Sewing Leather: The Saddle Stitch, as well as fully tailored, bespoke tuition.
For those who simply want to try leathercraft, the Handcrafted Leather Keyring workshop offers a relaxed group introduction for the novice maker and the opportunity to make a keyring to take home. Please take a look at the Scheduled Leathercraft Workshops page for further information.

TERMS & CONDITIONS (CANCELLATION POLICY):
(Applicable to all one-to-one / one-to-two tutorials. Updated: June 2026)
PAYMENT: For all one-to-one / one-to-two tutorials, a £30 booking deposit will be payable when the tutorial date/time has been agreed. Any outstanding balance will be payable at least one week before the date of the tutorial. If preferred, the full amount (booking deposit plus balance) can be paid upfront when making the booking.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel your attendance at a tutorial, please contact me ASAP to let me know - I will always do everything I can to accommodate a reschedule, but please be aware that most of the venues I use do not offer refunds for cancelled venue hire.
If cancellation is made more than 14 calendar days prior to the event, then often a reschedule is possible without incurring any additional costs. If attendance is cancelled closer than 14 calendar days to the date of the tutorial, then the booking deposit will be retained, and in the event of a reschedule, an additional booking fee (to cover the cost of venue hire) may be payable.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of a tutorial, workshop or educational event will not be eligible for a refund. In the circumstance where a student does not show at the arranged tutorial or event, then the full balance as paid will be retained. In the unlikely scenario that Fenner Benedict Handmade needs to cancel an event the attendee(s) will be contacted and offered the option of either a full refund or a reschedule with no additional costs to the student.
AGE RESTRICTIONS & STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Participants must be aged 18 or over to attend a one-to-one tutorial. Students under 18 may attend a one-to-two tutorial only by prior arrangement and must be accompanied by a paying adult throughout the session.
By attending a tutorial or workshop, you confirm that you are capable of undertaking the activity, and in the interest of safety, it is expected that students will, at all times, follow the advice and guidance provided by the instructor.
