Workshop Overview:

During this tutorial, you will produce a traditionally handcrafted leather keyring from full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide leather.

Aimed at the novice leathercrafter, the session assumes no previous knowledge or experience of working with leather. Fenner will provide full step-by-step guidance and easy-to-follow instructions during the workshop, introducing the practical leathercrafting skills required to craft the project.

The classically-styled leather keyring has been designed by Fenner to incorporate a selection of practical leathercraft skills into the workshop, including marking leather, punching holes in leather, using die press punches, setting a rivet, edge burnishing, and hand sewing leather.

Attendees will receive a handout with a list of the tools and equipment used during the workshop, as well as some exclusive supplier discount codes.

This particular workshop is ideal for those who would like to try leathercraft in a social group setting and focuses on the skills required to handcraft a specific product. I would recommend the Introduction to Leatherwork one-to-one / one-to-two tutorial for those seeking a broader overview of practical leathercraft skills.
